Escape For Life - FIREWALK and Buried Alive
Saturday saw Iain Jay and Carl head to West Yorkshire for an incredible day of dramatic stunts and challenges. Iain Jay through Sensory Fx was engaged as a consultant for Antony Britton's daring attempt at the deadly Buried Alive escape. Laying in a 6ft deep grave without the aid of a coffin or anything else six tons of soil was tipped on top of him. Could he manage to escape back to the surface? Would he survive? Over two thousand people came to find out and witness this incredible challenge take place. Previous attempts by legends Harry Houdini (who vowed never to attempt it again) and Alan Alan failed with both men needing to be dug out of their graves. Iain Jay was present in his capacity as a professional escape artist and had undertaken long conversations with Antony about the stunt and assessing his mental state in the months leading up to the challenge. The MindSet Group and FireRing Squad were also represented as funds were being raised for Bloodwise (formerly Leukeamia Research) and Escape for Life charities via a furnace of a Firewalk.
